Friends, we are just about a week past the solstice and summer has come to Indiana County in its typical fashion: beautiful cool days, punctuated with some real thundershowers! The countryside around Indiana is a lush green, as we have had a rather rainy spring, making your drive to our lovely county seat a delight.

Through the efforts of our Indiana County Tourist Bureau the museum is welcoming both individual as well as group tours. Just this past Saturday, we welcomed a group from Marion County, West Virginia. Among our individual guests in the last few weeks have been: Jim and Marcia, Andover, New York; Jim of Eustis, Florida who writes in our guest book “A great tribute to an icon of Americana”; Charles Jessen and Bob Thomason (in for the Jimmy Stewart Airport Air show) from Mill Valley, CA.; Nancy from Jamestown, NY; Richard and Christine from Muncy, PA; Cathy of Westminster, CO. says..” We love Jimmy and Harvey too..”  ;  The Casedy’s from Newton Falls Ohio stopped in….Frances of Penketh Warrington, England…said “ Well worth the visit”…. Carol said…  “Always love learning about such heroes….: Theresa and George Bower sum it up for all of us, I think…  “Life wouldn’t be quite as wonderful if Mr. Stewart had not been in it” ……..We agree, Folks!

All the museum staff, Robert Tucker, Brian Croft and John Kennedy as well as our great volunteers are here to help make your visit to Indiana and the museum a pleasure, and an experience to cherish. As evidenced above, by the quotes from our guest book, Mr. Stewart’s fans, who make the trip to this museum, are not disappointed.  We are so pleased that we can contribute to the continuation of the legacy of the man from Indiana.

We have some great new items …that you find in our gift shop and nowhere else, as well as the best collection of Stewart DVDs for sale anywhere.

In the works: we hope to share some news about a Harvey Award 2017 in the near future, and will be announcing a new exhibit in the museum’s temporary exhibit area to open soon.

Folks, please stop in if you haven’t been by for awhile and encourage your friends who have not visited us …to make plans for an interesting and delightful day at the Jimmy and Indiana County.

As ever,

Thanks for listening,

Tim
