Jimmy Stewart Video Essay Showcase
The Jimmy Stewart Museum invites all interested video essayists to submit audiovisual scholarship to its inaugural Video Essay Showcase. The panel will consider works on any theme or concept that relates to the life and/or work of Hollywood actor James Stewart (1908-1997).

THE MOVIES & MUSIC OF HOLLYWOOD
May 17th – August 30th
Come experience an impressive collection of original paintings featuring major films and their composers by George Rothacker. This collection of paintings feature films such as Casablanca, Out of Africa, The Wizard of Oz, The Adventures of Robin Hood and Jimmy Stewart classics, It’s a Wonderful Life and Vertigo. Twelve films are featured in all. This exciting rotating exhibit is well worth a visit to the museum to see them through the end of August.
Special Events
At the Holidays
At The Holidays the museum does it right! There is a special It’s A Wonderful Life exhibit with movie posters, photos, memorabilia and behind the scenes movie facts. We also feature life-size movie cutouts for photo ops, It’s A Wonderful Life village and a miniature Granville house from the movie. Interspersed throughout the museum is also a Festival of Trees. Over 10 Christmas trees are on display that are decorated based on Jimmy Stewart’s life and films. Be sure to visit The Shop Around the Corner gift shop that has unique holiday items that make for great gifts! And of course, we show the movie It’s A Wonderful Life in our theater every day at 1 pm throughout the holiday season!
